Teacher sent home wrong note about what dd was to dress as in school play

I'm livid. Was given a note last week to say dd was to be a stable animal (posted a thread for ideas). Got the costume. when I went to check with the teacher today when the costumes are to be in, discovered she'd sent the wrong note home and dd should be an angel or a star. Costumes have to be in by Friday and ASDA is sold out of angel costumes. Got three kids and dh works away during the week. Don't teachers have any idea how much work us mums have to do at this time of year?
Aaaaargh.

Presumably then someone else got the note to be an angel or a star. There is a good chance they have already sorted a costume out too so if you could find out from the teacher who it was you could swap.

Teachers are mums too they have their own kids cossies to make.

Look on the bright side - she could have realised Thursday afer school

Does this mean another child also got the wrong note? Maybe that child has also brought int he wrong costume?

Is the angel a speaking part, or a major part? If not, can she not just become a stable animal after all?

It is the teacher's fault therefore the teacher should be sorting thisout not you.

Id tell the teacher its too late now, you've already gone to all that effort and dd has to be a sheep now. I think the teacher is being a bit unreasonable, surely one extra stable animal/less star or angel doesn't really make that much difference.

Dd has a speaking part but I am going to ask the teacher whay harm it would do for her to be a sheep.
It did occur to me that someone else must have got the wrong note. Will investigate at school pick up. The notes didn't have the childrens names on them which would have been more sensible and stopped mistakes.

My 4 year old DD is an angel and she is wearing a pillowcase (schools request) and some white tights. Can you do something along those lines? I think they are having glittery (ie tinsel) belts and haloes.

BTW if she has to be an angel or star - can you take the other costume back and get your money back? If not, then you need to get school to pay for the costume IMO. It was their error, not yours.

I trieed ASDA today but they had no angel costumes. I'm sure they would change it as they are usually pretty reasonable.
The more I think about it the more I think I should just say to the teacher that dd is to be a sheep and that's it.
