DS started reception and said he loved it but

DS started reception today and was fine this morning excited to go in, didn't look back and strolled right in.
I picked him up and he was buzzing with excitement telling me about his day.
Fast forward to bedtime and he was laid in there crying because he 'didn't want to go to school again tomorrow' 🥺
Is this normal and common reaction after their first day at school?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated 😊

I made three calls today to parents whose DC were wobbly coming in (having been fine for 3 days this week) 10 minutes later they were grand and had great days. Think we’ll all be really ready for the weekend by 3.15 tomorrow!

Thanks for asking 😊 He went in jolly and excited and had a great day apart from having a wobble in the playground when it got really busy with all the other children 🥺 Came home and told us all about it again and was buzzing then bedtime he says he doesn't want to go tomorrow 🤣

But at least you are reassured that it’s just a bedtime/tiredness reaction, so glad he had another great day - not long to the weekend!
