There's never any soap in the school toilets

My youngest daughter always goes into the school toilets in the morning. I think she has already figured out about messing about in the toilets even though she's only four.

Anyway normally I have to go in and drag her out, and I have noticed there is never any soap at the handbasins. I really think there should be soap there but I do not know if I am being petty. I know that bars of soap get grotty and liquid soap gets misused.

So, should I complain about this or just leave it be? My dd has never got a tummy bug from school and I do not want to be labelled as a whinging parent! However, I think school should reinforce home when it comes to personal hygiene.

Our site manager wouldn't put soap out because it fell in the sinks and blocked them and when a tap wasn't turned off properly the floor would flooded = extra work for him. Also they do get really manky and harbour bugs. Liquid soap is apparently very expensive to use in schools. Best compromise I found was to have soap in the classroom sink for kids to use when they come out the loo. A light hearted chat with the teacher is worth doing

Ds2 has liquid soap in his school - always some there. Ds1 complains all the time that there is no soap. I haven't said anything to the school, but I think it's rubbish that there isn't any.
