Primary and Secondary Schools North Edinburgh

Hi My partner and I are looking at a house near the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. It is just out of the catchment areas for Wardie Primary and Trinity Primary. We've been looking in Wardie and Trinity as we assumed our child would go to one of those schools and then into Trinity Academy. The house we're looking at is in the Broughton Primary/Drummond High catchment. I'm wondering what are chances are of getting into Wardie or Trinity Primary, and if so if we'd automatically get fed into Trinity Academy even if we're ever so slightly outside the catchment? Would we have trouble getting into any of these? I'm hearing/finding really mixed feedback about Broughton Primary and Drummond High - any experiences of these? Thanks so much! Any and all advice most gratefully received.

Children tend to almost always go to their catchment school ( either RC or non denom). It has become almost impossible to get an out of catchment place as the popular schools are full, but it is always worth a try. If you do get an out of catchment place for primary there is no guarantee to get out of catchment secondary.
