My 4 yr old is having difficulty learning the letter sounds.

He loves doing the exercises on rain forest maths and I wondered if anyone knows a similar site for teaching letters?

We got some flashcards (kipper ones) dd2 loves these, and seems to help alot.

Try www.starfall.com. It is American, so some of the pronunciation is a bit different, and it introduces letter names at the same time, I think, but both my boys liked it when they were first learning to read.

Have a look at the phonic sounds presentation here (scroll down):

www.readwriteinc.com/page12.html

or, go to www.phonicsinternational.com and register for the first FREE unit (no obligation) and you'll find masses of resources to teach the sounds and letters at home.

www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/fullscreen/music/animalabc.shtml

This page on CBeebies is good. It has a song with the letter sounds and corresponding letters on the screen. It also has matching games etc.
