Hi my LO starts primary school in September, she has been excepted into Hoxton garden primary school. How ever she has now been offered a place in Shoreditch park primary. I really need to know your views on both? As I have to give an answer tomorrow... please help

OP these schools could be on the moon for all I know. Start a thread with the names of the school in the title, and it might attract people who know the area!
Good luck

I don’t know the schools but what do you mean she was expected to go to one school but has now been offered another? Did you apply on time? Did you get an offer on national offer day? Or have you recently moved & thought you’d get into the nearest school but there wasn’t space?! Google maps tells me they are 4 minutes apart.. Hoxton is rated good by ofsted & Shoreditch rated outstanding. So arguably you may have been given the ‘better’ school. Ofsted isn’t everything but it’s a guide.

You might be better asking on local Facebook groups for people’s opinion! You’ll get a much bigger response!

Presumably OP means she was accepted into Hoxton but now has been offered a place at Shoreditch as they were on the waiting list. I agree you need to repost with the school names or area in the title. Otherwise I would consider:

  • Ease of journey to school
  • Which one you originally liked best and why
Ofsted is a factor, but depends when the Ofsted was, and sounds like both are decent schools.
