Help me decipher school report!

Hi all, can anyone in the know help me decipher this extract from DS’ reception report under the “health and well-being” section.

“DS shows uncertainty when trying to express his emotions and feelings in front of others or if he has hurt himself after falling.”

At home DS will often tell me that I have made him sad or that he’s angry with me, and he’s also forthcoming about making a fuss when he hurts himself. So not quite sure what this is implying (if anything).

Is it perhaps the 'in front of others' bit that's key? Like maybe he's embarrassed to talk about his feelings, or admit he hurt himself when he fellif it's in front of the other kids?

I agree with @Faranth, the “in front of others” is the key. Possibly that he doesn’t always react in the correct way, for example, if he hurts himself in an accident with another child, maybe he gets angry with them.

I should’ve included the previous sentence which I think gives the context: “We have been considering the importance of our own feelings and the feelings of others, especially during circle time.” It then goes on to say “DS is uncertain…”.

I think it might be linked to others feelings then possibly.
