Help with primary schools in Chartridge/Chesham

Hi

We are moving to Chartridge in Bucks in September. Unfortunately the Chartridge village school is full, as are all the local outstanding primaries.
There are several 'Good' rated school choices but as we cannot visit schools, it is difficult to choose one. So would any locals be able to advise the best option for a small, friendly school for a shy but bright 4 year old? Current availability at Elmtree, Ley Hill, Hawridge, Lee Common, Little Missenden and Coleshill.

Thank you!

I don’t have experience of any but hear good things about Little Missenden and Lee Common from parents I know.

Thank you for your reply, Lee Common especially looks great!

I have also heard good things about Lee Common and Little Missenden and know people who have been very happy with Coleshill. They are all only infant schools though, so you'd have another move to consider.

From Chartridge I'd probably not want to have to travel to Little Missenden or Coleshill though, it's a decent journey especially for a 4 year old. Depending on where you are Lee Common would be a bit closer (and often takes children from Chesham so more potential for local friends).

Lee common would be the next closest. I went there 30+ years ago and it is a lovely little school. It feeds into great missenden school. Little missenden is good I believe but will be quite a drive from chartridge.
It’s a lovely part of the world, I would love to move back.

Thank you for your comments, we have a tour of Lee Common next week, so fingers crossed it is as good as it appears!
