Child offered FT place at school nursery but I’m having second thoughts!

Hi

My last baby has been offered a place at the school nursery full time, I was really excited at first but as the forms need filling and the time gets closer I’m starting to have second thoughts. I feel like I haven’t had time to do nice little days out with him due to covid and home schooling my eldest, I work part time so don’t NEED him to go full time however the other option would be half days so I would need to sort something for the 2 afternoons that I work (I’m sure my mum would)

The reason I was so happy for him was that he is ready for more, he currently attends private nursery 4 days a week 8-1pm and loves it, soon as we get home he’s asking can we pick up his sibling as he’s bored. I also thought it would be nice for him to get to know all the children he would be starting actual school with as some children will only do mornings/afternoons.

My reasons against are simply:

My own selfish reasons I will miss him and don’t want to let him go and he will be so tired 😭

The plan was to take up full time hours in my job but I have recently been informed due to cuts this can no longer happen September as planned but hopefully sometime next year.

Anyone any advice? Anyone been there and what did you decide? I can’t even bear to fill the forms out I’m so upset and torn.

Personally I wouldn’t fancy full time unless you have to. Did your others do the school nursery? If he’s happy where he his i wouldn’t change unless you know the school nursery offers a good experience.
