We have some friends with children at St Helen's who are very happy with the school. On the St Helen's website there is a good virtual tour:

www.sthelens.london/st-helens-virtual-open-day/

The Good Schools Guide (GSG) also has a write up - my summary... its a school where children are happy and able to develop their potential.

St Margaret's recently moved to become co-ed.

I don't know too much more or anything about Northwood School.

If you haven't had the chance yet its worth contacting the schools. When lockdown finally ends there will likely be in-person tours possible again, which are a great way to get a feel for a school.

Sorry I can't help further.

Hi

St Helens considers itself a highly academic school. In the area of Northwood it is certainly considered the most academic followed closely by Northwood College.

ST Margarets from what i hear is not as academic however has excellent pastoral care and is a more nurturing environment.

As any school St Helens has some very good teachers and some not so great teachers. Girls are expected to work quite independently in senior school and I wouldn't say there is a huge extra curricular activity choice but the school will be very good at getting your child yo work hard.

Let me know which part of the school you are particularly interested as i have two daughters there and can probably answer your questions.

Hi Parentingistough,
Just read your message, my daughter is going to join Year 9 at St Helen’s in Sept. May I know if St Helen’s will allocate the students by different sets of groups according to their academic level/results in different subjects respectively, and offer different tutorial materials?
Whether it is very common that the students there would join those supplementary classes outside for the good sake of better results?
Do they have homework/assignments every day and quizzes/tests from time to time, or will have exam each term?
Thank you for your kind advice.
