Looking for state schools in Watford

Hi everyone, I'm mum of 7 yr old and 2.9 yrs old. I'm relocating to Watford from Manchester in July/August and am looking for areas and primary schools and nurseries in Watford. Will be renting initially. Does anyone have any recommendations for areas and schools please?

Nascot Wood, but incredibly difficult to get in to without being basically next to the school.

Cassiobury is a great school and catchment is larger.
