School Shoes - Suitable for Playing/Football

Hi. My 9yo son used to wear a standard type school shoe and then change into plimsolls for indoor. However, during the pandemic the kids have to keep the same shoes on all the time and therefore everyone has become much more relaxed about footwear and my son is now wearing trainers each day. However, the trainers are of course not waterproof and they wear out so quickly as he plays football at lunch break.

Can anyone suggest a trainer type shoe that still looks smartish and will hopefully last a bit longer than a standard trainer. Thanks

ds had startrite rhino shoes at one point, the ones that have the rubber over the toe which helped a bit with playing football on concrete

Treads school shoes are meant to be really hardwearing :)

Black football Astro boots

Geox trainers tend to be very robust.

It might only be a few weeks of trainers though, and back into proper school shoes every day in Sept. Our school's been cracking down on proper school shoes again since April.

Black Astro football boots here as well. DS plays football. Any non-football shoe is ruined in a week.

My son used to wear these ones and they actually lasted a full school year after having 2 pairs of Clarks shoes in previous years
