QEGS Blackburn Primary Parking

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. My son has a place at QEGS Primary which we are really pleased about. However, we couldn't check out the school run properly before we applied because of all the lockdowns. Does anyone have any advice as to where to park near the school? I'm thinking we'd be arriving around 8.15am.

I don't know the school but parking near primary schools can be a massive issue - causing obstructions and delays and putting children at risk of an accident.

I would contact the school and ask if they have any kind of park and stride scheme in place - ours had one where parents could use the local pub car park about five minutes' walk away which really helped.

Alternatively, find a spot yourself in a side street a few minutes' walk away. I really recommend a short walk at the start and end of the day as a calming chat time. Above all don't try to park right near the school.
