Primary school appeal

Sorry if a thread has been started already, but I would like to know if anyone didn't get their first choice school, or if anyone has appealed and won.

I think your only hope is if something was done wrong procedurally. You can also get on the waiting list and that's worth doing.

What grounds are you appealing on?

Plenty of people have won appeals, but they’re heavily outnumbered by people who lost, especially if it’s an appeal governed by Infant Class Size rules. Have a look at PatriciaHolm’s “how to” thread here, which outlines how those rules work. If you want to appeal, post a short summary of the circumstances and we’ll suggest how best you can present your appeal - but be aware that if it’s an ICS appeal you’ll have to show that there’s been some kind of error which has deprived your child of a place.
