Has anyone any experience of this school? Thinking of trying the entrance exam for year 4 for my dd, but worried about the transition from her tiny prep that she’s currently at.

It’s probably the toughest to get into at secondary stage, has a rep for being v academic. I know of very bright girls who’ve gone there and loved it, and just quite bright girls who have hated it/ended up with eating disorders or mental health issues. I think I heard the head of the juniors has changed recently, or there’s an interim head?

No personal experience. Mine are at a coed prep and planning for them to go to a coed indie as we aren’t in catchment for a coed grammar. If we were in catchment for sale or urmston I’d be having them sit for there as I’ve heard good things about both.

If the prep is tiny, surely any school will be a big jump?

My little girl has recently passed the 7+ exam for withington and is due to start in September. They have small classes in the juniors so transition would be easier that in the seniors.
