A rather nosey and pointless question re spellings in YR2......especially calling primary teachers.........

I'm quite happy with how DS2 is doing at school, and TBH I'm not really concerned about whether he's in the top group for any of his subjects or not....BUT I can't help wondering what sort "standard" he's at with spellings such as

Because (he spelled that right first time - I was about 11 when I finally "got" it )
Where
When
While
After
Scream
Sleep
Sweep
Also

(not all from the same weeks spellings I hasten to add)
etc etc

Come on - put me out my misery, is he below average, average or a genius in the making (that's a joke btw in case anyone was wondering)

Those look fairly similar to my dd's spelling (also in Yr2, top set) We haven't had although yet. This week her harder spellings were choice and point.
