Hi, so far we have visited Long Close in Slough and Staines Prep both of which we were impressed with. I live in Wraysbury, near Staines, anybody have experience of these or recommend any others??

Comments gratefully appreciated

Is it for boys or girls?

Mixeds schools in the area that are good are Bishopsgate and St George's Windsor.

There are a few girls' only schools in Windsor, and for boys' only - St John's Beaumont.

You have to think about where the schools feed into. The ones I mentioned provide into good senior schools. Long Close tends to focus at the Slough grammar schools (not sure what the kids that don't make it do), and Staines Prep into the non-selective privates.

There are loads here in Ascot, covering all types of education. Not too bad to get to from staines neither. I live round the corner from the Licenced Vituallers school, which I know people have been very happy with. There are also the marist, st marys, Heathfield school.
