Areas to buy for good schools

Hi everyone,

I'm not from the UK and my little one will be starting school soon. I'd like to find out more on good areas to buy in either Hampshire or Surrey. We're not entertaining the grammar route as it's too competitive. Any towns suitable in the mentioned areas? We would also be looking for nice restaurants, pubs, playgrounds, safety (quiet important) etc. I'm open to both all girls and co-ed schools. Also any advice on areas to avoid would be good. Thanks

If you want state then look at South Farnham, East Hampshire - Alton, Petersfield, Liphook (large village but lovely) and then also Alresford and Winchester. Fantastic state schools, nice restaurants, pubs, playgrounds, walks etc.

Thanks Ionacat, yes I would be looking for state schools. The list of places really helps. Once lockdown is lifted I'll venture out to these areas for a look.

You could add Chandlers Ford and Romsey to that list as well. They are further out but lovely with excellent schools. All the schools are coed.
