register PTA as charity on facebook

hello all,

posting here in case anyone has experienced the problems we are facing.
We are trying to register our primary school PTA as a charity on facebook. (We have an FB page and are a registered charity). We do not have any of the documents FB is asking-

Certificate of Formation (for a partnership).
Articles of Incorporation (for a corporation).
Local Business License (issued by your city, county, state, etc.).
A utility bill.
Tax filing.

Anyone successfully registered their PTA as a charity on facebook? If you did, what documents did you send them?

thank you!

They can check you out on the charity commission site.
You must have a governing document if you income is over £5k a year.
I would go through the process to see if you have missed something.

thank you for your message @cabbageking!
We have sent them the charity constitution and all the information from the charity commission site. But they always are replying with the same standard message asking us for one of the above documents.

We have done this back and forth a few times now already.

Ring the Charities Commission. The documents you refer to are not relevant. It’s an automated response. So email or phone.

@PresentingPercy thank you for your message.

We are a registered charity (already registered with Charities Commission)

We wanted to take advantage of Facebooks fundraising support for charities. Facebook is asking for these documents in order to acknowledge that we are indeed a charity.

But you are right! We need to probably follow up on the phone.

thanks again :)
