Any Bromley BR1 parents out there? Your views.......

As DS1 is starting school next Sept, we - like many other parents - are currently doing the school open day rounds.

We live very close to Valley Primary, and to be fair, we haven't yet been round to visit. We've already been to see Parish which both me and DH loved.

Does anyone have any children that go to either Parish or Valley - any recommendations/warnings/things to ask or think about? Nothing better than being able to ask parents what they think of the schools.

Any comments, good or bad, about either school would be helpful, particularly any "wish I'd known that beforehand" type stuff!!

I have a friend who has a dd starting at Valley in January. She is very very pleased to have got in (the catchment can be quite small but it really depends year on year).
Have another friend who lives not far from the Bromley Court Hotel (but think nearer College Road) who didn't get into Parish, but did get offered a place at Valley.
Friend used to be a primary teacher, and Valley was her first choice. She was very keen and is very pleased to have got a place, having been on the open day visit.
I am Bromley BR1, but BR1 covers a very large area, all the way through to Bickley.
Don't know of any current pupils, but friend obviously does since she lives close to the school and I don't think she has heard of any problems.
