Primary schools in Angus

We're looking to relocate from Cornwall to Angus later this year.

We're flexible as to the exact location so would like to find a good primary school first. Any recommendations? Daughter's in Y2 at the moment.

Ideally rural or semi-rural location but I think we would consider a small town too.

As the question in the Scotsnet topic - you might get more of a response.

Plus, when is your dd's birthday as that could influence which year she goes into, as well have different cut off dates (but also more flexibility)?

Thanks prettybird. How naïve of me to assume things are the same up in Scotland and she would just go to Year 3 from September.
She's born in June 2014.

Think I need to do more research about how the educational system works up there!

June is ok Wink

She'll go into P3 in August (we start mid to late August depending on the LA) Grin - but will go from being one of the youngest in the year to one of the oldest (our dates are March to February but with the option to truly defer for those that are not yet 5 in the August: common for January and February birthdays, less common for November/December birthdays).

Thank you for explaining, it's good to know about the school year starting earlier, hopefully we can get everything sorted and move over the summer holiday.

Fortunately she's young enough not to realise that she's being diddled out of summer holiday Grin

Our schools break up at the end of June Smile
