Hi all. I’m thinking about sending my 2 daughters to St Catherines. My one would start Jan 2021 ( in yr 10 ) and my other at the start of sixth form .. we’re struggling to make a decision and was wondering if I could get any advice / feedback ?

I can’t help with upper school , but I moved my daughter from another prep to year 6 at st catherines this year and have been really surprised and pleased . School is very academically ‘on it’ and has lots of pastoral care too -the girls all seem to be genuinely lovely and it’s a much more caring environment than our last school. Pupils seem to look out for each other . Most girls are fairly local - twickenham, Teddington, Barnes, Richmond so it’s nice that they don’t have to go far to meet up with friends outside of school.
I think the 6th form is only a few years old, so is quite small as the school is still trying to build it up so it depends if your DD are suited to a bigger school or a smaller one. For GCSE they have to take RE which is a pain but not the be all and end all. There is praying, but it’s catholic with a light touch - my DD and I are 100% atheist and don’t have any issues with the religious side.
Locally I think it has been seen previously as the back up for a lot of parents and girls but I genuinely feel that with the new head, this is changing.
I’m sure someone with experience further up the school will be able to help more but I’m happy to answer any questions
