i dont understand how i am meant to choose a primary school for my child, its all ofsted reports and sats - i feel i need a degree to interpret the data - help?

what are all the levels what does it all mean? what percentage is good. and above average?

go and visit your nearest schools first - you may find you love one and won't have to feel you have to wade through the stats at all!

If you look on this parentscentre website
search under schools for your local area it gives comparisons against area averages and national averages, also links to ofsted reports.

However the feel of the school is just as important as results. It maybe they do get high results but it maybe because they put a lot of pressure on the children, or all the children are being tutored.
