I've been to school today! All parent's at my children's infant school are invited to attend a literacy trail and a numeracy trail once a year.
When you arrive you're given a map and you go and find the different activities. There are different colours for each year group and it's supposed to help us understand what they're doing in scchool etc. It can be fun and it's an opportunity for some one to one time for each of them with me.
Anyway I thought I'd share this with you as it made me laugh - One of the instruction cards had "their" intead of "there". As the head was standing nearby, I pointed it out to her and quick as a flash she replied, "of course this generation won't make that mistake, as the quality of teaching is so much better now than it was when the teachers were at school.".
I thought it was a brilliant spin! Bad mistake though
