Hi, I'm due to move to Hampton Hill (the Fulwell end) in the new year. I have a daughter who will be starting reception, and a boy who will be nursery/pre-school age.
I don't know the area that well, and am finding the whole process a little stressful. Stanley cancelled their open day at the last minute, and Carlisle aren't doing one. They've published virtual tours, but I'm finding it really difficult to get a feel for either school.
My predicament is that we will live close to Hampton Hill Junior school (which I love the look of) but Carlisle is considerably further away than Stanley. PLUS, it doesn't have a nursery, so I'll be having to find a private nursery nearby for my son.
So my question is... is Carlisle worth the additional school run chaos?
