Teddington schools - Collis or Hampton Wick?

Does anyone know anything about these two school in terms of how they compare to each other? We are in catchment for both but neither are doing physical tours this year. Both are outstanding so we don't know which to put as first choice. Thanks for your thoughts :)

I don’t know about Hampton wick but collis was always the school in Teddington that parents wanted and I knew people who rented nearby just to get in. It’s a big school so might not suit all children, but very popular. 4/5 boys got in to Hampton on the 10+ this year which is better than our local prep did! I know a few who have left, but in my case they have all been children with dyslexia/SEN that parents thought were not well catered for (and the children ended up at prep school instead for more 1 2 1 attention and smaller class sizes).
It used to have a very small catchment due to popularity, so check out the Richmond council website for distance from school and places offered last year to see if you’re in with a chance.
Hope that helps a bit.

Does anyone happen to know if Park Lane would be in the catchment for Collis? We are in the process of buying in Teddington and have realised Hampton Wick isn’t a great option due to the change of school at 6 years to St John which doesn’t get good results. It seems Park Lane is in no mans land but closest in distance to Collis, then St Mary’s and St Peters, although their catchment is apparently smaller than Collis based on distance, unless attending church regularly.

This link will tell you what you need

Just google the postcode and see how far from each school you are

Have you looked here www.locrating.com/school_catchment_areas.aspx?lat=51.42208559882395&lng=-0.3241480422750931 Looks like Park Lane is right on the edge of catchment, or not in catchment depending on which end you live.

We went for Collis in the end and got our offer yesterday, phew! We decided against HWINS because of the St John's link. Collis just has much better resources and results than St John's so in the end it was a no brainer for us. If HWINS had been an all the way through primary school we would have been torn though as it is a lovely little school.

Congratulations @TeddingtonSchools that’s great news! It seems like a lovely school. How close to the school do you live? We are moving to Teddington soon but think we will be just outside of the catchment (around 1km) despite it being our closest school. We have a few years to wait yet but it’s still worrying me as I much prefer Collis over HW given the St John link.

Ahh you will love living in Teddington, it's such a great place to live :) Where are you thinking of moving too? We are on one of the river roads so only about 450m from Collis (the Cromwell road entrance), but some friends of ours who were out of catchment in the past two years (they are 1.3km away) got into Collis yesterday - maybe it was an unusually low sibling year as they normally wouldn't have stood a chance and just put it down as first preference as a long shot!
