Hi all
DS (6) needs to write a story for a 7+ exam soon. We've practised quite a bit but keep coming up against the same problem. Basically he gets carried away, abandons all spelling and punctuation, and writes a long dialogue (so speech only) which is difficult to make sense of and usually involves two friends arguing then making up.
I've told him to keep it simple, no speech, just 6 or so sentences will do if they're correctly spelt and make sense. But he can't get out of the habit..
Any tips??
