Hello

LO is doing well since starting Reception a month ago. They have come home with good reports re reading and been stepped up on colour code etc

We have a parent meeting tomorrow. What should I be looking to talk to? I really don’t have any concerns but just wanted to check...Thanks

This stage in reception I would just want to know have they settled in well, how are they doing socially etc.

More important than literacy and numeracy at this stage is just how they have settled. Can they follow instructions? Do they understand the routine (e.g. put coat on peg, wash hands, then come and sit on the carpet). Can they work well within a group? Do they interact well with the other children? Do they seem happy and settled in school?

The teacher will fill you in on all of this anyway and flag anything up if it's a concern. If they've settled in well and have picked up reading without an issue and can hold a pen and count there probably won't be much to say.

Great yes what you said in the end is the case as per feedback so far. So not gonna dwell too much. Thanks xx
