Sorry I know this is a really weird question and I am probably being paranoid.

DD started school in september and is getting on really well. I am wondering what parents think of me as Im only 25 and look really young and also have a 1 year old.

Most parents speak to me and say hello and I have about 3 friends from the class that I actually chat with but sometimes I wonder if im out of place as they are 'older' than me.

Maybe im just being paranoid! thanks anyway.

25 is hardly a teen mum now is it

Don't worry about it. I am 34, so quite "average" at DD's prep school. There are a few mums around my age and a few older. And there are a couple of younger parents too.

Infact the set of parents DH and I get on best with, and made good freinds with - even went on holiday with last year! - are only mid 20s. Age has never been an issue - yes, we joke about it soetimes, normally then saying we are old, lol! But never a problem definitely.

I was 22 when DD started at her prep nursery school - I loved it cos I was so much younger and fresher than all the botoxy fake-tanned mums there.

I paid though cos was much OLDER than the other mums when I had DD2

25 isn't so young.

I expect you'll find that you have more in common than you think with other parents as time goes on.

i'm 24 and have 2 children - all my friends with children are in their 30's and 40's, it doesn't affect our friendships at all. i'm sure you'll be fine
