Is it worth the cost?

Yes, my DD liked it. Personally I absolutely loved it, as it got her away from the more inane ipad games and we didnt get sucked into buying a Switch or other console. We used it up to age nearly 9 as she liked the music coding game. Tangram and Pizza got used a lot on playdates. It is most useful for younger ages really, though.

Consider buying extra games from Ebay used to manage the cost

We’re looking at buying Osmo too. Is there one that is suitable for 8/9 year olds. We saw the genius starter pack but wasn’t sure what the content was actually like.
