Can you pm me?

RedBlueWhite · 12/11/2020 14:07

We are! Have Habs girls assessment next week.

Stressedmum2019 · 29/11/2020 09:08

Is there a thread for 7 plus 20/21

RedBlueWhite · 29/11/2020 10:24

@Stressedmum2019 - apparently not and very little activity on this topic this year, which is not helpful.

Stressedmum2019 · 29/11/2020 10:31

Such a shame as helpful to get others thoughts

ChelseaK · 29/11/2020 19:43

I know. My daughter is invited for the second Assesment. I don’t know what to expect. Any one in the group who can help?

Following this as would like to know the same for my daughter who is invited for the Jan 2021 second round.

RedBlueWhite · 09/12/2020 10:25

The school has asked them to come dressed suitable for physical activity and a coat. So I guess there will some games, some outdoorsy activities, etc.

PreppingFor7plus · 03/01/2021 20:29

Happy new year! We are also supposed to be appearing for the second round next week for Habs. Has anyone heard anything about what they might do instead?

Stressedmum2019 · 04/01/2021 17:32

Online again

habsboys2020 · 04/01/2021 20:56

How would that work? What kind of assessment would that be for second round?

PreppingFor7plus · 05/01/2021 11:01

Yes just saw too.

Stressedmum2019 · 07/01/2021 19:10

Anyone else concerned how it will be a fair assessment?

RedBlueWhite · 14/01/2021 13:29

@Stressedmum2019 yes very concerned! My dd told that one of the children said to the teacher during the assessment that she already knows what to do in the task as her dad has already practiced this with her yesterday 😬

Stressedmum2019 · 14/01/2021 13:31

I am more than sure it would have been noted as cheating then

Stressedmum2019 · 14/01/2021 13:38

It’s the ones that were more clever about it I’m worried about

RedBlueWhite · 14/01/2021 13:59

Anyone could have printed the entire test after the assessment and made their child write it again before posting it through. There’s no way to check. Asking parents to submit electronically would have been a more robust check than post!

PreppingFor7plus · 14/01/2021 15:34

Agree very concerning. I heard one child ‘finished’ the comprehension in about 7 minutes.

Stressedmum2019 · 14/01/2021 16:29

Totally agree @RedBlueWhite - @PreppingFor7plus I’m sure the school will question a child that finishes that quickly or in fact answers something they may not expect a year 2 child to know

Stressedmum2019 · 14/01/2021 16:34

Wonder if anyone flagged these issues with the school

Stressedmum2019 · 22/01/2021 20:21

How did the girls get on

zen9081 · 12/09/2021 11:49

Hello mums/ dads,
Anyone preparing for the Habs 7+ girls /boys this year?
I have twins and I'm preparing for both. I'm particularly interested in the group activity for girls. I've found no information for it online or elsewhere. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
