What do you think: if your kid classmate said: “Chinese eat cat”in the classroom, The Chinese kids in the class responded: “not right, I love cats, I have 2 cats pets”, but the teacher to negate the Chinese kid and let him do apologise to another kid who said Chinese eat cat.

Eh? Why did the Chinese child have to apologise about? Who told you the story? Could they have got it confused?

dementedpixie · 01/10/2020 15:15

Sorry for the random 'about' in that first question

HandfulofDust · 01/10/2020 18:07

If that actually happened it would be awful but it sounds incredibly unlikely. Where did you hear the story? Sounds like a DC maybe got confused?

HopeClearwater · 01/10/2020 21:53

Is this your child, the one who was made to apologise? What did the teacher make him apologise for?

Woode · 01/10/2020 22:52

The Chinese boy is my son

True story. I wrote message ask the teacher why? The teacher replied the kid said Chinese eat cats that it is correct. My son refute says that’s not true, that was very rude to them.

If you have an email from the teacher insisting that Chinese people eat cats and dogs then obviously you need to make a formal complaint to the school. It would be taken incredibly seriously.

I'm incredibly dubious that this happened.

LolaSmiles · 02/10/2020 16:52

I don't understand what there is for the Chinese student to apologise for or what the teacher might have expected an apology for.

Call the teacher and have a chat to establish what happened.

“A member of a class commented that in china cats use to be eaten and @@@ was very rude to them. I explained about now that is not eaten but has been in the past”. Teacher replied copy.
