Hello!

My ds started school last month and each week I have to do a little assignment thing with him. This week I've been asked to describe a playground game that I did at school with song if applicable. Thing is I just can't think of any apart from hopscotch which they already do. (Kisschase and British Bulldog not applicable I don't think, lol )

Would be really grateful for any ideas as am at a loss....

Thanks

the wolf stands in front of the others with his back to them. They shout "what's the time Mr Wolf?" whilst creeping forward and he turns and says "ten o'clock" and they must stand still. Repeat saying different times and the children get closer and then they ask again and he says "DINNERTIME" and chases them and trys to catch them - cue lots of screaming.

Mr Wolf all the children bar one line up at one end of the playground and the other one is the wolf at the other end with his back to them. Children shout 'What's the time mister wolf as they walk forward. The wolf turns and shouts a time. If he catches any of them moving they are out. If he shout DINNER TIME, he runs after them all and tries to catch one. That one then becomes the wolf.

Circle of kids, farmer in the middle. Kids hold hands and walk round singing...

The farmer's in his den
the farmer's in his den
e i ally o
the farmer's in his den

The farmer wants a wife
The farmer......

He chooses a wife from the circle.

The wife wants a child...

chooses child

The child wants a dog....

chooses dog

We all pat the dog....

everyone pats the dog

Usually cue crying cos someone pats too hard on the head!!!

Can't rememer exactly but everyone chants "Please Mr Crocodile may we cross the water to see your ugly daughter like a cup and saucer". And Mr Crocodile says "only if you're wearing green/glasses/a dress" etc. Those matched children have to run cross a designated area without being caught by Mr Crocodile. If they are then they help Mr Crocodile with the rest of the children who cross next time. Best with lots of children.

That's brilliant, thankyou so much! I knew the MN'ers wouldn't let me down
