Hello,

I'm considering Ashfold School in Dorton for my son and wondered if there are any parents here who have children there? I'd love to have a chat if so. Feel free to DM me or just post your thoughts on here! Thank you! Smile

I know several children and their parents in Years 1 & 2.....does that help?

I have friends who had boys at this school but a long time ago so not relevant now!

However the school tends to cater for boys who stay until 13. So unless you want a local grammar at 11 then assume your DS will go to a private day school or boarding at 13. A few go to the local secondary moderns and the comp at Thame at 11. If you want a crammer for the Bucks 11 plus, Ashfold does not really fit this specification. So I would always look at destinations of DC and make sure it meets what you want at 11 or 13 because Bucks is a grammar school county. What are your aspirations and are they going to be met by this school? I’m not sure paying fees for primary is worth it if DC then goes to the local secondary moderns at 11 along with everyone else. (I know that sounds snobby but preps prep for private senior schools so why spend all that money if you don’t want their usp?)
