It’s long been the case that “white flight” changes the character of schools. Not just white either by the way. Upwardly mobile BAME too

Interestingly the upwardly mobile BAME parents wanted their children to experience a wider range of faiths and backgrounds and to mix with white children, rather than be in a predominantly BAME cohort school.
