Soft play party

DS2 has been invited to a birthday party which will be private hire of a soft play place for his class (20 children).

TBH I am not a fan of soft play. They are either hot / cold. Its always loud. Kids running about, bedlam. I hate these parties.

Is it safe to assume with the new COVID restriction of max 6 people the party will be cancelled / restructured?

Well it certainly shouldn't be going ahead. However some people think the rules don't apply to them so who knows.

I'm hoping it will be 'reshaped' into something that doesnt involve soft play..

If the rules are applied it shouldn't be reshaped into anything. You can't have gatherings of more than 6 people so definitely not 20 children plus 20 parents.

No you're quite right. Hopefully it'll be cancelled.

Actually I think at a proper venue they are allowed to offer class bubble parties. A local pottery place near us said they could continue to, although they would socially distance the children, which is different to soft play.
