Hi everyone,
Am looking at primary schools in Inverness, There appears to be very little current government information and quite a few of the school websites have not been updated (in years).
Has anyone had any experience with Drakies Primary School. They have a good website, but I would love to hear from parents that have had experience with them.
I am looking into a number of schools, as we will be moving to Inverness in mid October, ready for the new term.
The following schools are of interest:
Crown Primary
Central Primary
Drakies Primary
Muirtown Primary
Caldeen Primary
All feedback is welcome. Thanks for your time.

Hi There MrsM11,

We don't have access to any insider knowledge on this topic (sadly!) but we wanted to say hi and give this a bump for you.

We hope some of our local users will be along soon to offer you their advice.

Good luck making the decision Flowers

I would phone them. I have just had a look at the web sites of two which are dreadful! Bring back a school prospectus I say! The only option is to ring them to get info. I’m quite shocked they are so bad - are there no standards for publishing info in Scotland? English schools have policies and info that must legally be on web sites.

Thank you FlissMumsnet and bigbradford, I have actually made contact and received some responses. Bigbradford, I agree about the websites. That is why I reached out on here. Also, it's always good to get parental feedback. London has the Ofsted Reports that are accessible, but I find that even they don't really give a true summation of the schools. You need the information (good and bad) from the inside.

I would suggest you start a new thread, with something like 'Primary schools in Inverness' as the title. That'll help it to appear in searches, encourage people that know the area to click on the post, and will save those of us like me who live 200+ miles away from opening the post :)

Good luck - you might be lucky and get some really useful info from mumsnetters.

Thanks LetItGoToRuin. Will do. Cheers.
