11+ group vs private tuition

My DD just failed assessment into what’s considered to be the best tuition centre around where I am (London) and I’m looking into other options (group and private tutor). What surprised me though is how expensive group tuition is. That centre was £800 a term in Y4, going to £4K a year in Y5. In Y4 it’s 2 hours a week. With roughly 10 weeks a term it’s £80 a session. You could get an amazing tutor for £80 an hour - and 1-2-1 it’d probably be more effective than 2 hours in a centre + travel there and back, probably one that teaches in a centre like that too. What do people think? Why do people chose a centre over a tutor if it costs the same? Just because a centre has a more official success rates?
