I have two options for my 2 girls in coming Sept, one is eight and the other one is five. When google 2 schools, I can't see which one is better? I prefer the school with a better academic support, anyone has the opinion for the 2 schools? I need to get back to the school in few days, I'm struggled to choose, pls help.

I don’t know Nottinghill Prep but I do know Newton. I think it’s a great school for a bright child. Mrs Fleming is a brilliant headmistress - totally sensible, approachable, dynamic - she’s made a really positive impact on the school. Dealt with Covid very well - Good online learning and then her ethos will be to have in as many children as she is allowed and they have the space to do it. Fantastic facilities. Nice, happy children. Good diverse mix of families which isn’t always the case in SW London private schools. Mix of working and non working parents. Maths is streamed pretty early and there are booster groups for those in need of extra help. Maths curriculum is taught a year ahead. It’s a big school with a range of ability and you do need to be able to cope with that. The locations of the schools are quite far apart so do factor in travel time depending on where you will be living. You wouldn’t find many families from Notting Hill area at Newton. I can definitely recommend Newton though.
