Moving to Sutton

Hi, we are a family of 4 (2 boys at 34m and 6m) thinking of moving to Sutton. We are deciding among Westbourne Primary, Cheam Park Farm Primary and Cheam Common Infant, which all seem very good but with a rather small catchment. Can anyone give us any recommendations or has first hand experience with any of these schools? Thanks!

I don't know the schools specifically but most of Sutton's schools are good. I'd probably just look for houses near any of them and see which you like best.

I don’t know if you’ve used the website above but you can put in an address of a potential property to see which schools you have a chance of getting into. All the schools you’ve listed are very successful and sought after so it’d be more down to the ‘vibes’ you get when you visit. Westbourne is smaller than the other two for example. All the areas will also have excellent secondary options (unless you’re right by Cheam Common and too far from Cheam High).

So I’d probably also lean towards seeing which house or location you prefer as you really can’t go wrong.

The website is very useful! Thank you! We have only been using Locrating but this one is even better!

My DS has just finished Yr6 and DD is going into Yr5 at Cheam Park Farm. Brilliant school and community. PM me if you like Smile

Thanks for the recommendation. We have decided to settle in Cheam - now waiting for the house matters to be sorted out. Would love to hear more about Cheam Park Farm as we are now deciding between this and Cheam Common to be our first choice but my pm function isn't working 😅 Let me fix that and reach out to you :)

They are both part of the same group - Leo Academy Trust - so you can't go far wrong with either. So for example, the lockdown learning was very well organised, and would have been for both, as they share resources.
Have you already found the house? Cheam Common is more Worcester Park way, CPF is Cheam/West Sutton way, so whichever side of the A24 you end up could help you decide Smile

We are actually very nearby London Road so we are basically midway....we will see what we get i guess.thanks for the suggestions :)
