Churchfields Infant School admissions help

Hello all,

We are planning to move to South Woodford shortly. Our LO will be turning 3 and we are exploring the option of Churchfields infant school. We really like a property near Wynndale road ( other side of the bridge). We are trying to assess if this falls in the catchment for the infant school. The admissions booklet suggests safe walking distance as a metric for admissions. In this regard, does anyone in the area know if walking/ crossing the bridge is considered as safe walking ? It would be very helpful if anyone living on the other side of the bridge from the school can confirm if their children were able to secure admissions to the infant school.

Many thanks

It is in catchment although there are lots of closer streets so entirely a numbers game (not that I would worry unduly). And yes, the bridge is safe and the route to school.

Yes we did - lots of children living on the other side of the bridge in my dcs year. However it is dependent on how far from the bridge you live, in your case how far down Wynndale road the property is.
