Hi everyone.
I wanted to ask families ,those whose girls go to junior NLCS ,which schools do the boys( siblings)usually go to.I am looking at sending my daughter to NLCS but haven’t figured out what to do if number two is a boy.which are well regarded boys schools nearby and how do parents manage school runs between two different schools.
TIA

Belmont/ Mill Hill School and Habs are the two I can think of. Why not send your daughter to Habs? It’s an excellent school with great pastoral care too. Then if you have a boy he can go to the boys school and it’s one school run.

Habs is very often the school brothers might go to, or depending on where you live any other prep schools. Merchant Taylors prep from 7 maybe

yes, but my understanding is habs coaches only run from year 3:( That would be bit of a hassle pick up and drops off before that.x

Manor lodge School?

The 'brother school' for NLCS at senior level is Eton which won't help you much. Most of the local schools mentioned above are preps rather than through schools like NLCS. MT and Habs offer the through experience for boys but neither are particularly close in distance to NLCS. You could consider splitting the school run in the early years with your other half or hiring a nanny/au pair to help if you don't already have one. Also do check school timetables, our DD starts at 8am and DS's school is 20mins drive away but doesn't start till 8:50am.

Also bear in mind the fierce competition for places at NLCS at 4+. Keeping other schools under consideration would be sensible.

@Yookytooky Habs is no more than a 10 minute drove from NLCS, in fact you could do it in less if there’s no traffic and it Is less than 4 miles away. They’re very close.

OP I would choose Habs over NLCS any time of the week.

Habs and Mill Hill are where boys tended to go. Or a local pre-prep then MT.

Thankyou everyone. Any particular reasons ,mums are more inclined to Habs than NLCS?
