We viewed a number of schools and chose HD due to it being recommended by other parents. Now 5 years on we could not be happier with the decision. The atmosphere right through the school is very much that of a close family. The staff and the children all know each other very well and by name. Through these difficult times with the covid 19 pandemic the school community has shone even more. The staff are an amazing support in terms of education but there is also a strong awareness of helping the children with mental health, especially at this time. We have been helped through the stresses of home schooling, not only with work schedules but also with regular zoom meetings and telephone assistance. Mrs Papworth, the head teacher, shows strong, dependable but always caring leadership. As our daughter continues to build happy school memories we cannot recommend the school highly enough.
