50's day at scool...

..just after I've sorted a costume for Victorian Day at school I now have to sort out something for the school's Golden jubilee - ds needs to wear what a child would wear in the 50s - I'm thinking shirt,shorts,long socks, snake belt, greased hair and a sleeveless pullover - does that sound about right ?

thanks hulababy - I think as it's specifically a school celebration he ought to look like a 50s school boy,which is easier too !

Looking at this school picture it would appear grey shorts, shirt and tie and v neck sweater - possibly braces underneath. Longish shoes and propper shoes. Not that much different really!
