Can anyone please offer advice on improving handwriting? It's readable but can be big and messy. She's 5. It is completely age appropriate so I'm neither worried nor trying to push. I'm just aware that between now and September I have the potential to help her improve but I've no idea how this is done in schools! Any resources/strategies much appreciated.

I would use a systematic scheme like Pen Pals, where each letter has a pattern.

I'd love more info please .. googling penpals doesn't help!

Dd is 5 and her writing has improved significantly over lockdown just by writing everyday and also decreasing the size of the lines that she uses to write on. The school advise using lines the width of a ruler until it is neat and then decreasing gradually.
