New in Berkshire (Winnersh area) and considering Dolphin for my almost 5 year old (Reception) and almost 3 year old (Nursery) boys. We went to an Open Day before the lockdown and like the school but would like to have some feedback of parents who have/had kids there currently/recently. Especially in the early years.

We also looked at other schools in the area, specifically Reddam House, Bearwood Primary School, Waverley and have not visited, but heard about Crosfields. Thanks in advance.

Oh we love Dolphin and cannot recommend it highly enough!!! Even through the current strangest of times Dolphin has pulled out all the stops to create such a nurturing, caring and yet still creative environment. We believe there is not another school out there quite like it! Come and join us, you won’t regret it!! Smile

If I had the gift of time travel, the first thing that I would do is travel back in time and persuade myself not to send my children to this school. This is a great shame. There are good teachers at this school, but sadly the school is not, in my opinion, a safe environment for children. My children, and many others, have been sadly and regretfully removed from this school. I would advise you to avoid at all costs.

Hi exdolphinparent, I am so sorry to hear that you didnt have a good experience and I assume that your children also were not happy. I know what that feels like as we went through that at another school in the area earlier this year. However, my boys indeed started at Dolphin at Sept and I cannot express how happy they are and I am. It might be early days but I am so happy they are there and I do believe in the school’s philosophy. I dont think there will be a school that can fit all needs/expectations of everyone, but for us it is the best thing we could have done and just fingers crossed that it will continue to be a positive experience. So far so good! I hope you and your family are happy where you are now, we all just want the best for our kids x

Dear BerkshireNewbie. I wish you all the very best of luck, and hope that you don't need it. I hope everything works out for you and your children.

I’ve had 3 kids at Dolphin school (2 still there) and cannot recommend it highly enough. Yes, the lack of uniform and informal approach takes a little adjustment but their dedication & delivery of syllabus in lock down was exemplary. It’s a nurturing & happy environment for any child. Mine are all very different and have each thrived there.
