Seeking advice on towns and school in Elmbridge area

Hello,

We're relocating for work to Weybridge area from overseas in August.
Looking for any and all info and advice on living in the towns below and schools.

Looking to live ideally close to Weybridge and also considering Walton on Thames, maybe Esher and Cobham though these two seem too far.

Forced somewhat to go to private school because too hard to get into a State without living there yet. Exploring Notre Dame, Feltonfleet.
Maybe St Georges, MiIlbourne and Claremont (if we end up going to Esher)

Not keen on traffic or commutes so working to keep all three (school, home, work) close together. But will not rule out a great school because of it.

Appreciate it. Thanks.

The area is full of good schools, all you have mentioned are good. It would help to know if you want mixed or single sex, the ages of your dc and how many years you hope to stay. The move at age 11 is competitive so an all through school like Claremont may be beneficial. Feltonfleet probably has the smallest number of spaces as it's popular. If you look at the school bus maps for these schools you will see the distance dc travel to schools. Claygate has a lovely village atmosphere with Rowan prep as well as Milbourne if you can find a suitable house.
