Bassett House Primary - other parents?

Having a good look at all the Bassett threads on here as we are considering for my little girl who just turned 2, very interesting to see what other people think... We attended the open event last week online for Bassett and were very impressed. I spotted a royal on there, presumably looking for their children, which does bode well from my point of view as presumably they have pick of the bunch!!

Have you been able to visit the school yet? I'm going to register and visit asap I think. There was a lady from Dukes who spoke at the open event who seemed very passionate about education (ex headmistress of SHHS in north London, top girls school) so I am not worried about that aspect at all, she was v reassuring. Seems like duke's impact is mostly governance and 'holding the school accountable' to keep the education the little ones get as good as possible. That's what I got from the talk anyway.

There is also a new Head coming in who is ex-Thomas's where prince charlotte and george go... She was great. Would love to hear your experience if you have had a tour yet??

Hi - our child has recently been offered a place at Bassett House Primary in Notting Hill. The school seems lovely and we were impressed with the headmistress, but i would love to hear recent views on the school from any parents whose kids are currently there or who have recently left. They have just joined the Dukes Foundation and I wonder what people think of the impact of this - good or bad?

OP, I suggest you try posting on local groups. There are many suspicious accounts operating on MN to sing schools' praises.

Dukes are not a foundation..... they are a for profit, private equity owned group of schools. Surprised someone saying that there may be fake accounts promoting the school, maybe you can make a search on Bassett House and Prospect House too, which is the other school they acquired and also changing HM. And Orchard House, and are what you make of the posts
