Toilet Trouble with ds who has just started reception

My little boy has just started reception, and we are experiencing some toilet troubles, with number 2's. He tends to go to the toilet for a number 2 before we go to school, however he seems to need to go again at school, but won't use the toilet or even tell the teacher, hence he is doing it in his pants. I have tried to explain to him that if he needs to go to tell the teacher, but he is still marking his pants. We never have any trouble at home and he had no trouble in nursery either. Wondered if anyone could give me some advice. Thank you

id have a word with the teacher after school or the teaching asst so they can encourage him to go more often

i think this is very common in reception and they are used to it

Had the same problem with ds last week.
He did a BIG Squishy one on his pants...nice!

I think it was a mixture of a bit of a dodgy tummy and reluctance to ask the teacher during assembly .Luckily it was at the end of the day so his teacher got me to deal with it as I was waiting outside and DS refused to come out of the toilets .

He hasn't needed a poo again at school since so am hoping it was a one off.

I agree with newgirl, speak to the teacher.

Thanks for the advice. I spoke to his teacher this morning, and she has said she will ask him more frequently, and when i picked him up this afternoon he hadn't marked his pants, so i praised him up. I think it is all nerves as he says he gets a funny tummy, and becomes frightened.
