DD (just 5) has told me she doesn't like yr1 so far and the only thing she likes is PE! I too am a little worried esp as she is the youngest girl in the class and academically bright but a bit lazy and she likes playing!

Don't woory about it yet. It is still early days. It could be she till getting used to going from Reception, where they still play alittle, to year 1 where they work harder with very little play. Give it another week or so and see what happens. If still have worries speak to the teacher.

My dd hated year one for a couple of weeks too. I think its the sudden move from Early years to KS1! She'll be fine in a couple of weeks, I'm sure. Keep an eye on it though. Maybe stick a note in her contact book about her feelings for the teacher.
